Any TCREA agent or agency can assist you with a any purchase on any island. Mainly information like this focuses on Providenciales, the most popular and fastest growing in the chain. Although modern day development only began in 1966, Provo already has the largest population of all the islands. It offers a wide range of superb residential areas from beachfront to hilltop, to canal areas, each with their own unique character. Listed below are some of the developments with what you should expect from each, respectively. Leeward A master-planned community on the northeast tip of Provo. Beautiful beach front, canal, and inland properties are all available. Leeward is the home of the Ashcroft school, a bilingual private primary school. It also features the Leeward Marina and Canal System and is the ideal location for the boat or yacht owner. Grace Bay Boasting one of the best beaches in the world and is home of the majority of hotels and condominiums. The few remaining beachfront parcels zoned for commercial/tourist related development have become the jewels of the real estate market and are very expensive. It is still possible to find a residential lot near the beach, or you can also get into a condominium as there is a large pre-sales and after sales market. Long Bay Hills Located on our southeast shore, Long Bay offers some of most affordable prices and some of the best southern island views. Mainly featuring building lots, there are a good portion of homes built and for sale in this area. The Bight Located between Grace Bay and Turtle Cove, this previously residential area is now home to Beaches Resort. A number of condo developments are also in the works as are some smaller bed and breakfast and apartment complexes. The Bight is also the “main stretch” of road the links all the of hotel and condominium developments on Grace Bay together. Turtle Cove Turtle Cove was the site of the islands first hotel, the third Turtle Inn and many of its first homes. The beach is prime, with excellent snorkeling and is becoming a newly sought after development area with close proximity to many restaurants, shops and the marina. Turtle Lake South of Leeward Highway opposite the Marina, a man made canal system opens to Discovery Bay. This peaceful, residential area offers access to the ocean and still has both in-land and waterfront lots available. Discovery Bay/Turtle Tail Turtle Tail provides dramatic view of the Caicos Banks, Five Cays, small coves with private beaches and fabulous hilltop properties. It also features a dramatic topographical element that provides over views for some residential properties that can obtain up to a 270-degree view of the southern part of the island. Cooper Jack Located on Provo’s southwest shores, this area is quite popular due to the prevailing breezes, privacy, and some magnificent sunsets. Although most of this area is iron shore, there are some small publicly accessible beach areas. It is rumored that this was a favorite hiding place for pirates hundreds of years ago. Blue Mountain The exclusive Blue Mountain settlement comprises the land between Turtle Cove and Thompson’s Cove. Prime hill top lots provide panoramic views of the complete north shore, and the curve of the barrier reef. Often referred to as one of the most cherished of views, Blue Mountain is home to many multi-million dollar homes and estates. Thompson’s Cove This lovely 130-acre planned community, located on the prime north shore, west of Blue Mountain, features a complete choice of hilltop, canal, and beachfront sites. Sapodilla Bay/Chalk Sound On the southwest tip of Provo, a long peninsula separates Chalk Sound, a national park and Sapodilla Bay. The ocean side offers unparalleled sunsets while Chalk Sound features an endlessly changing display of water colors. Rumored to be the home of many international celebrity, Chalk Sound is quickly become one of the quietest and upscale areas of the island. Commercial/Industrial Property Aside from the residential outlook from the areas of the island, TCREA agents and agencies have an extensive inventory of commercial property, and can provide advice on which location best suits your business. Several agents feature full running business for sale as well. |
